Architecture and construction can be overwhelming. Our job is to help you reach your goals by simplifying the process and giving you the steps to get there. We work with clients in many areas of design, architecture and construction. From adaptively reusing an existing space to taking the first steps with a new design and construction project.
About Us
We are fortunate that we have found our true niche in life. We are dedicated to architecture and more specifically to the reuse and redevelopment of existing buildings through adaptive reuse. Adaptive Reuse quite simply is the process of adapting old structures for purposes other than those initially intended. Adaptive reuse covers a wide range of sites and building types.
For us, adaptive reuse is much more than just the simple definition above. We are interested in the idea of interaction, deformation and spatial creation, when disparate systems come in contact to inform and interact with each other. In most cases it is the injection of new programmatic ideas into an existing structure or set of structures that sets up this very interesting and exciting condition. The resulting interactions and conflicts can create interesting and surprising deformations of the program or of the structure itself. It is this conflict which energizes the design and our process.
We regularly work with our clients to assist them with site analysis, existing conditions documentation and idea generation. We keep our overhead minimal and that results in lower fees for our clients, but not lesser service.
